Hikoi – Kaumatua at Mapunaatea
Protest Mapunaatea
On the 20th and 21st of April the KKWTNAR trust lead a hikoi and then occupation in protest of the sale of Mapunaatea farm. It was originally gifted by Mr Ned Holmes of South Wairarapa to benefit Wairarapa Maaori, specifically in their education. One of NKKWTNAR’s aspirations is to aquire this farm through Treaty Settlement to preserve and protect its original intention. We are prepared to march and stand for the people against injustice.
